Program Overview
Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we live. Kids today are AI natives. RAISE’s Generation AI @ MIT aims to offer a range of short, transformational programs for high school students worldwide. We work together with schools and organizations that want to offer their students an AI-focused learning experience, using curriculum developed by MIT researchers and delivered by MIT-affiliated instructors and passionate MIT student mentors. Generation AI @ MIT transforms the next generation into empowered creators and builders who use AI technology to address problems that matter to them and their communities. Through rigorous yet fun challenges, students learn to think critically about AI’s potential — its opportunities, its risks, and its power to transform entire industries.

MIT Generation programming is based on the cutting edge MIT curriculum in the field, and is taught by MIT-affiliated instructors and MIT students who serve as mentors to learners in the program.
The programs are open to all students but students and families are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including visa to countries where the program is hosted or to the US. Because these are short programs, we do not provide support in obtaining the visa.
Generation AI @ MIT is very project-centric, meaning you will work on hands-on projects that apply the concepts you learn. The exact projects can vary, but they are all designed to be engaging and to let you create something with AI. The capstone of the program is often a team-based project where you and a small group conceive, build, and present an AI solution to a problem of your choice. At the end, teams typically pitch their projects in a competition or showcase, presenting to judges or the class. This is a fun, collaborative culmination of the program where you get to see what everyone built and celebrate your achievements. All projects emphasize the responsible design aspect.
Yes, MIT will issue a certificate of completion to all participants who in MIT’s sole judgment meet the requirements for the issuance of a certificate.
